About Us
Our Mission
The Union County Library Foundation (UCLF) accelerates the potential of Union County Library (UCL) by investing in resources that transform lives and communities.
Our Vision
UCLF envisions corporate sponsorships, community partnerships, and individual patronage to ensure a robust support system for UCL — a library system that is integral and responsive to the communities’ diversity through excellence in collections, programming, and services.
Our History
Established in 1988, UCLF is the capital fundraising support group for UCL. UCLF is chartered to receive, hold, invest, and expend funds for the purpose of enhancing library services for Union County residents.
Working in close partnership with UCL, UCLF is a proud advocate, supporter, and resource as UCL strives to be the heart of Union County’s educational and cultural interests while enriching the lives of Union County residents, from birth to senior resident status, through diverse services and innovative programs.
In April 2024, the Southwest Regional Library (SWRL) opened its doors. UCLF, together with corporate sponsors, partners, and individual donors, successfully raised $900,000 to support the new library.
