A new chapter for Union County

The Union County Library Foundation is excited to support our third Union County regional library, with a projected opening in 2024. Southwest Regional Library will serve the communities of Marvin, Mineral Springs, Waxhaw, Weddington, Wesley Chapel, and beyond.

Today, more than ever, libraries play a crucial role in the community – in OUR community. You are invited to help us write the next chapter by raising $1M to fund the critical amenities, programming spaces, and innovative technology of our newest Union County library. Our new Southwest Regional Library is where, after a season of social isolation and time apart, we can rediscover what it means to connect to community.

Join us as we spark curiosity, inspire creativity, and build meaningful community.

#Turn the Page

Libraries connect communities. Books and stories inspire us, teach us, entertain us, and bring us together. Join us in A New Chapter and help turn the page.

#TurnThePage yard signs will allow you to share your favorite books with your neighbors and help support the new Southwest Regional Union County Library – all at once! Plant a sign with a gift of $20 or more and help our library grow to A New Chapter.

Planting a sign is easy!

Signs will be popping up all over Union County now during the Summer Learning Program. Our goal is to “plant” 2,500 signs. Reserve your sign today and pick it up at any Library location!

Step 1: Reserve your sign at the link here, and pick it up at any library branch.

Step 2: Fill in your book recommendation(s)

Step 3: Display your sign in the ground – and leave it for as long as you like. You can even plant more than one, or change the book recommendation as you read new books.

Step 4: Take a photo and share it with us on social media! Use the hashtag #TurnThePage
