What We Do
Can you imagine a world without your library?
“Libraries store the energy that fuels the imagination. They open up windows to the world and inspire us to explore and achieve, and contribute to improving our quality of life. Libraries change lives for the better.”
-Sidney Sheldon, American Writer & Playwright
Provide Books for Everyone
UCLF helps maintain a first-class collection of books and other materials for kids, teens, and adults. The Foundation’s support helps build a treasured collection that offers a window to the world, one that creates and sustains a lifelong love of reading.
Improve Access to Technology and Information
From equipping thousands of library users with the technology necessary to participate in the digital age to programming reaching underserved seniors and at-risk youth, UCLF funding helps the library meet people where and when they need it most.
Enhance Social Connections
Whether it’s a cultural celebration, an author talk about the importance of democracy or a class on the need for self-care, UCLF supports the library in helping people feel less isolated, more connected and empowered to be active residents!
Create 21st Century Spaces
We believe the residents of Union County deserve library spaces that feel welcoming and keep pace with modern demands. UCLF is building the support to help make our libraries the spaces that transform the lives of those who use them.
Established in 1988, the Union County Library Foundation, Inc. is the capital fundraising support group for Union County Libraries. As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, we are chartered to receive, hold, invest, and expend funds to enhance library services for Union County residents.
